Nafeesa’s Bookplate

Soooooooo, I KNOW it looks like I took the month of August off, but I sooooooo did not. I’ve been busy making draw-rings, learning scratchboard, working (as usual) on my artwork (more details later!) but most of all getting settled in to my new home in DC, and my job teaching Illustration Techniques at UDC. I heart DC so much, and am so glad to finally be here full-time! Here’s one of the projects on my art table right now, a bookplate design for my friend Nafeesa. This one’s in progress 🙂 but she already loves it (yay!) Also, I got a positive review on my August Mini-Solo at Touchstone Gallery, in The Washington Post! More on that work, plus a link to the review, a little later!

  1. Love this bookplate! Do you make these to sell? I would love to have something like this to give to my book loving future daughter-in-law as a gift. Congrats on all the wonderful things happening for you in the last month. Glad to see you back.
